Studio 11:11’s Tattoo Policy;

First of all, I’d like to thank you for trusting me and taking an interest in my work. I’m grateful to collaborate together creatively and I appreciate YOU!

Here is my Policy for Studio 11:11. Feel free to check out the FAQ (linked at the bottom) for any inquiries -I’ve tried to add in the most common questions I receive. Feel free to reach out if there’s something I’ve missed. I’m here to help make this experience great for you :)

BEFORE BOOKING:

***Important***

 I MUST receive a doctor's note before agreeing to tattoo anyone with any of the following medical conditions:

diabetes (type I & II)

heart disease

seizure disorders

serious skin/blood disorders

Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause, however there are no exceptions.

Failure to obtain a doctor's note/if any ineligibility criteria apply on the day of your appointment, we will not be able to proceed for reasons of safety and liability, and you will forfeit your deposit to help cover artist fees.

APPOINTMENT POLICY;

Studio 11:11 is by appointment only. No walk-ins unless posted on Social Media platforms. Follow those platforms to find such events.
The first hour’s tattoo fee ($180) + draw up fee ($50 - if needed for the design) is required in order to schedule an appointment date. Either $180 or $230 (if draw up fee is needed) needs to be sent via etransfer to
alisonrgh@gmail.com in order to confirm your booking. Please ensure it is sent the day of your appointment inquiry otherwise the space may be offered to the next person in line. Auto-deposit is set up but in the case your bank may as for a security response, please make this: tattoo

By sending a deposit you automatically agree to all tattoo studio policy terms and conditions written within this Policy. The remainder of the tattoo is to be paid in cash only so please plan accordingly. ***All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable to someone else*** This is a way to ensure a commitment to my time to work for you.

You can only reschedule your appointment date with at least 48 hour notice. Please be advised if you need to reschedule I can’t guarantee a new appointment right away as I’m very busy. If you are being more than 30 minutes late, it will be considered as a cancellation and the deposit will be forfeited. If you cannot attend your appointment last minute (less then 48 hours notice), your deposit will be forfeited as this is time that someone else could have had in the Studio and my schedule is very tight.

Please be on time for your appointment. I have back to back appointments some days and the Studio space is small so we need to avoid extra people waiting around.

Please bring government issued ID. Tattoos are done only on persons 18+ without a parental consent.

DO NOT show up to your appointment with any numbing creams on the area that will be tattooed unless it was discussed with your artist. If you show up with numbing cream, your appointment will need to be rescheduled and you will lose your deposit.

*If, due to unforeseen circumstances I need to cancel the appointment last-minute, I will make every effort to re-book the appointment with a time that is most convenient with the client. In this case the deposit will be carried forward to the new booking. Should the client be unable or choose not to rebook, I will refund the deposit in full. However when making any booking the client acknowledges that neither the Studio nor the artist will be liable for any additional out-of-pocket expenses incurred in relation to travel/accommodation.

DESIGN DRAW-UP:

If the tattoo is a custom tattoo design, the draw up will be provided to you within the days before your appointment date so that it is fresh on my mind. Please, be very specific about your tattoo idea! Describe it as detailed as possible so that I can nail it the first attempt to avoid any extra re-draw up charges to you.

BEFORE YOUR TATTOO;

DO NOT CONSUME ALCOHOL, RECREATIONAL DRUGS, CAFFEINE or BLOOD THINNERS for 24 hours (preferably 48hours) before the tattoo appointment and preferably 48 hours after.

All of these substances can increase bleeding which causes the ink to not stay put as the excessive bleeding pushes the ink out, resulting in a blotchy, faded looking tattoo. I cannot guarantee my work if there is more than normal bleeding at the time of your appointment. Our time is valuable together and tattoo work is a big investment, so please follow these guidelines to avoid excessive bleeding and potentially having to pay more money for touch up work.

Some other tips to insure optimal healing of your tattoo; exfoliating and adding a hydrating lotion to the skin for the two weeks prior - but not the day of the tattoo helps the ink saturation into the skin. Drink plenty of water the week leading up to your tattoo. Dehydrated skin absorbs ink differently than hydrated, healthy skin.

A healthy diet is paramount in our overall health and the way we heal from wounds-a tattoo is a wound.

Please eat before your appointment to ensure healthy blood sugar levels. A tattoo is stress to the body and healthy blood sugar levels are needed to endure the session. For longer sessions please feel free to bring snacks and fluids.

TATTOO TOUCH UPS:

I offer one free touch up on your tattoo only if needed, and ONLY IF YOU HAVE PROPERLY TAKEN CARE OF YOUR TATTOO AND FOLLOWED THE ALCOHOL ABSTINANCE RECCOMMENDATIONS and this can be determined - so please take this seriously! The included touch up for a tattoo is offered up to 3 MONTHS of the initial appointment date.
While the touch up is absolutely free of charge (the artist do not get paid for touch up services of their work) there is always a non-refundable $35 setup fee for all touch ups and will be required as an etransfer deposit to book your touch-up appointment.

48 hours notice is required to cancel and rebook a touch up appointment once it is booked.
Failure to notify of a cancellation in a timely manner, or in the event of a no-show will forfeit the free touch up offered and the $35 deposit is not refundable.

You may certainly re-book for a touch up if you no showed or cancelled last minute, but the touch up will be subject to the minimum tattoo charges.

Thanks for your understanding

HANDS/FINGERS/FEET ETC:
***All finger, hand, wrist, elbow, neck, feet, knee and any other tattoos placed on the body joints are not eligible for the touchup guarantee and will be the regular hourly fee*** The nature of the skin cell turnover in these areas is different then other bodily areas and are more prone to poor healing outcomes. (Something to think about when choosing these areas as they may come as a much higher cost)

HEALING YOUR TATTOO:

Your new tattoo is a wound and needs to be taken care of properly in order to heal its best.

PLEASE DO NOT suntan, spray tan, bath, hot tub, sauna, go in a pool or submerge your tattoo in water while it is healing. This can significantly affect the result of your tattoo poorly.
Showering and cleansing your tattoo is OK.
Be cautious of it being rubbed (elastics, clothing, footwear if on foot, gloves if on hand etc). Again, this can significantly affect the result of your tattoo negatively. Do not itch, rub or pick scabs.

Only use products and methods of healing recommended by your artist within the tattoo aftercare instructions here:
