Alchemist

An Alchemist is someone who transforms things for the better and it has been said that an Alchemist can turn lead and various other metals into gold.  This transmuting of other elements into the purest gold serves as a metaphor for the spiritual alchemical transformation from ordinary consciousness into an awakened consciousness.

By acknowledging the shadow self and confronting those painful elements within, we can become whole again, or, create the "gold" within ourselves.

Alchemy of the "self" is a personal journey of transformation and cannot be fully explained but only experienced but has everything to do with Our True Nature.

The Tree of Life in this picture portrays the As Above, So Below concept of the cycles of life and how death in Nature is recycled back into life (decay-to soil-to tree). The four element symbols in Alchemy that I placed in the art; Earth (Physical), Water (Emotional), Thoughts (Air), and Fire (Intuition/Spirit/Passion), are the very areas of life that Nature intends to be balanced within us to achieve wellbeing.

The Roman Numeral clocks representing time spirals into the Now; the Present Moment, infinitely as the crow embraces that.

The Flower of Life pattern represents the sacred geometric art Nature has always expressed.

The falling dead leaves are metaphorically expressed into the rising butterflies to represent the transformation from death to beautiful life.

Throughout history, the Crow has been associated with Alchemy, transformation and insight.
